Below, I also add a small piece of the character's
storyline, as would be part of the in-game experience:
"To reach the function of Declaimer of the Glittering
Spires requires more than just proverbial wisdom and a lifetime of dedication.
It requires an uncommonly strong connection to magic and several standard
lifetimes' worth of dedication, as it's highly unlikely to be achieved in just
one. In this sense, the Djinns have a natural advantage over most others: they
have an innate link to the rivers of magic, they age so slowly that the
weak-minded think them immortal, and they generally have the type of unwavering
determination that makes most people feel uneasy in their presence. And of
course, those among them to actually be invested into the office need to
possess even more pronounced versions of each of these features, in effect
being nearly-immortal, grand-magical fanatics. They are the Glittering Spires'
equivalent of a strategic weapon. A non-violent, non-lethal weapon, certainly.
But a weapon none the less - and a fearsome one at that."
