Thus, from the simple selection of the colour red, the
defining traits of the third team have presented themselves as Speed and
Agility, and so too has the visual-language element of Fire. This combination
is fitting also because there is another link between fire and speed, beyond
that of the shared colour: heat and ultimately fire are produced by the
increase in speed of the movement of the atoms of matter. Speed itself is
movement, caused by applied energy which is produced through the burning of a
fuel source, be it the explosion of a star, or the burning of calories within
an organism. The two are inescapably linked. And while we may not always be
consciously aware of this, our minds will understand these symbols of
visual-language as surely as anyone who has ever rubbed their hands together
very quickly will know that it produces heat.
