Below, I add a fragment of the character's storyline, which
would be part of the in-game experience:
"None of the members of any of the various races which
form the Emcarian nation has ever possessed much physical prowess. In fact the
very reason their ancestors banded together into the gaggle which eventually
became Emcaria was their shared penchant for intellectual pursuit, and people
like that rarely pay enough mind to their bodies to develop much physical aptitude.
But one thing they have always had was conflict. There hasn't been a single
moment in Emcarian history when they haven't been involved in some sort of war
or scuffle or light skirmish or fracas or brouhaha. Not because they've ever
been violent - they haven't. Other people just don't like them very much.
Nobody likes a know-it-all. And so from their earliest moments, the Emcarians,
having had to defend themselves, have invented new and ever more complex tools
for war, one of the very first being the large pilot-controlled Dragoon
walkers. Far from elegant, these machines of the Mechanicorps divisions are
nevertheless remarkably effective at very quickly getting really close to an
enemy and then bashing him repeatedly in the head until it agrees to cease its
aggressive actions, either on account of having changed its mind, or of being
dead. Or both. And when it's cold outside, the boiler also keeps you warm. Just
pray it's not hot outside."
